FAQ
- What numbers does this calculator give?
- Four core numbers: Life Path (your overall trajectory — from full date of birth), Birthday (natural talents — from day of birth), Expression or Destiny (how others perceive you — from full name), and Soul Urge (inner motivation — from vowels of name).
- Chaldean vs Pythagorean — which is better?
- Classical Vedic numerology uses Chaldean (letter values 1-8, 9 is sacred and not assigned to any letter). Western numerology uses Pythagorean (simple 1-9 cycle). Chaldean aligns with Jyotish planetary significations. We default to Chaldean.
- What are master numbers?
- 11, 22, and 33 are master numbers in numerology — they are NOT reduced to single digits. They represent heightened spiritual responsibilities: 11 = intuitive teacher, 22 = master builder, 33 = master healer/teacher.
- Should I change my name based on numerology?
- Consult both a numerologist AND a Jyotishi (Vedic astrologer) before changing your name. Name changes affect the chart in subtle ways; rushing can create imbalance. Many people align their professional or screen names with their birth number instead.
- How does numerology relate to Vedic astrology?
- Each number 1-9 corresponds to a graha (planet). Numerology gives a fast summary of your planetary tilt. Your full Vedic chart provides the detailed map. Use them together.
